Ada - Rolls

1955 Rolls Royce Cloud 1. Allan has owned Ada for 15 years. It was bought into Australia by a titled gentleman from England who had the car from 1955 until 15 years ago. The titled gentleman then gave the car to his son who, shall we say, rearranged the bodywork! Extensive work was required before Ada could be used again. Ada’s unique colour is one that Allan personally blended. It has proven very popular with brides as the colour typifies most people’s idea of royalty Rolls Royce style.

Elizabeth is a 1956 Rolls Cloud 1. It was imported into Australia by a member of parliament hence housed in Canberra for a considerable number of years. Allan was asked to duco the car in its present colours to be used as a photo shoot for the Hugh Grant movie “4 weddings a Funeral”. Previously, wedding cars were traditionally white, which compromised the bride’s beauty. Elizabeth’s tones have proven to be perfectly suited to wedding photography

Ben the Bentley

The genuine Oak timber in Ben is sourced from selected trees that grace the English countryside

1933 Reo. Clyde is a very rare motorcar of which there are (to the best of Allan’s knowledge) only 6 in the world. One of the first ever automobiles was built by the ‘Olds’ family, who called it an Oldsmobile. Their son, Ransom Eli Olds, broke away from the family started his own business making trucks buses. One well-known vehicle was an REO speedwagon. In 28, Ransom Olds built his first motorcar using parts from other car companies. In 1933 he built Clyde – calling it the REO flying cloud - painting it burgundy black and naming it after an American Indian. Unfortunately, 1933 being in the middle of the depression, very few cars were sold. Clyde was bought into Australia in the late 30’s. Allan purchased the car fully restored it. He has owned Clyde, with the distinctive number plates REO 33, for 30 years.

Marilyn is the ultimate in cruising for your wedding day. With the hood up, the vehicle is totally enclosed so the bride is not windswept, but, when leaving the church with the bride groom, the hood drops down electrically at the press of a button, becoming a photographers delight with the newly married couple departing the church. Unsurpassed on a crystal clear vineyard afternoon!
